Govt may go for partial divestment, raise fresh equity in SCI

NEW DELHI: The government today said it may go for partial disinvestment as well as raise fresh equity in the Shipping Corporation of India ( SCI).

"We are looking at various proposals. One of them is part disinvestment and part FPO (Follow On Public Offer)," Shipping Secretary K Mohandas told reporters here.

Eighteen per cent of the shares of SCI are already held by the public.
