"Emerging Kerala", the investors meet to be held on September 12, 2012

KOCHI: " Emerging Kerala", the investors meet being organised by Kerala Government to showcase the investment opportunities in the state would be inaugurated by the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on September 12, 2012.

The three-day event will bring together corporate leaders, heads of governments, foreign dignitaries, representatives of regulatory institutions, bankers, economists etc. The meet will be held at Kochi from September 12 to 14.

Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC), the nodal agency for investment promotion in the state, has signed an MoU with the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) for the promotion of the event. National Association of Software and Services Companies will be an event partner.

The state hopes to attract partnership with potential investors for a slew of mega projects like Vizinjam International Container Terminal Project, Kochi-Coimbatore Industrial Corridor, the high speed rail corridor, Life Sciences Park, electronic hub project, municipal waste management project, centres of excellence in higher education etc.
