DSIIDC earns Rs 108 crore profit in 2009-10

Delhi Government's infrastructure agency DSIIDC has achieved its highest-ever profit of Rs 108 crore during 2010-11 as against Rs 44 crore in 2009-10.

NEW DELHI: Delhi Government's premier infrastructure agency DSIIDC has achieved its highest-ever profit of Rs 108 crore during the year 2010-11 as against 44 crore in 2009-10.

Chetan Sanghi, Chairman and Managing Director of DSIIDC (Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corp) said the backing from the government and sincere efforts have paid rich dividends. The agency had earned a profit of only Rs 10 crore during 2008-09.

As per Delhi Industrial Development, Operation and Maintenance Act of 2010, DSIIDC has been tasked by city government to develop and maintain the industrial estates in the city.

The administration and maintenance of most of the industrial estates are currently with DDA and MCD. Both these agencies will soon hand over the maintenance of these estates to DSIIDC.

Changhi said DSIIDC had allotted 18,500 plots of land mainly at Bawana and in four other industrial complexes in Narela, Bawana, Patparganj and Jhilmil under the scheme of rolocation of industries.
