Digital locker system unveiled in Kerala
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of its e-district programme, Kerala Government today announced the launch of Digital locker system under which public can store important records and certificates in digital format.

Public could set up Digital lockers by opening an account through 'Akshay' centres, keep their records in digital lockers and download them as and when required, an official release said here.

Important documents such as birth and marriage certificates, pancard, school, college transfer certificate, village certificates, university certificates, passport, bank account, electricity and water connection documents can be stored in digital format.

An individual can open a digital locker using his Aadhar number. All digitalised records would be linked to Aadhar numbers for easy access, it stated.

Special enrollement camps for digital lockers also would be held at all Civil Stations and selected educational institutions in the state.
