Punjab government on Monday decided to give 6 per cent dearness allowance to all the government and semi government employees from the January one this year.

MUKTSAR: Punjab government on Monday decided to give 6 per cent dearness allowance to all the government and semi government employees on the pattern of Central government employees from the January one this year.
This was announced by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal while talking to media persons at village Doda 15 km from Muktsar this afternoon where he had come to attend a social function.
Chief Minister also said that he had asked the 5th Pay commission to finalise its report and submit it to the state government at the earliest, by revising the present payscales.
