Andhra Pradesh eyes MoU blitzkrieg at Vizag industry mission
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will roll out the government's industry mission in Visakhapatnam tomorrow.

This event would also witness the unveiling of the state's industrial and sector policies, apart from the launch of a single-desk portal (that grants clearances for industrial projects within 21 days), an official release said.
"The state government will sign 46 MoUs with 46 companies from India as well as from countries like Japan, the UAE and Canada, attracting total (potential) investment worth Rs 35,745 crore," it said.
These MoUs would cover sectoral investments from petrochemicals to energy, infrastructure, electronics and manufacturing, food processing, textile and automobiles, with potential to generate 72,210 new jobs in the state, the government said.
As part of the MoUs, 48 units would be set up in the state, spanning across various districts.
Later, the Chief Minister would hand out land allotment letters to Asian Paints (for Visakhapatnam unit), ONGC (for Kakinada facility), KRIBCO (for Nellore) and Kurlon (Chittoor).
Meanwhile, energy department officials said Rs 3,435 crore has been earmarked for construction of a 'Green Energy Corridor'.
Secretary (Infrastructure & Energy) Ajay Jain spoke of how Andhra Pradesh has evolved into a power surplus state.
"There will be no issue with regard to power for the next 3-4 years," he added.
Jain also suggested promoting Public Private Partnership (PPP) in the transmission business.
