AFD provides development assistance to Assam

Agence Française de Dévelo-ppement (AFD), which is a French development agency has inked agreement for providing 60 million euros for five years to Assam.

GUWAHATI: Agence Française de Dévelo-ppement (AFD), which is a French development agency has inked agreement for providing 60 million euros for five years to Assam. This is the first project of AFD in India.

The agreement was inked on Friday by Mrs Aude Flogny, Country Director AFD and Saraswati Prasad, Principal Secretary Environment and forest department.

This assistance is expected to help Assam in capacity building, infrastructure creation, plantations, working plan and forest plan and providing livelihood support to fringe villager.
