15,139 tax defaulters owe Rs 1,147 crore to J-K govt

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir government today said 15,139 sales tax defaulters owe Rs 1,147 crores to the state government.

In a written reply to the Cut Motion of PDP member Abdul Rehman Veeri in state Assembly today, Minister for Finance Abdul Rahim rather said the total number of sales tax defaulters in Jammu and Kashmir is 15,139 against whom Rs 1,147.35 crores are recoverable.
