Wheat price slips on better supply

Wheat dara prices fell by Rs 10 per quintal in the wholesale grains market due to increased arrivals amid restricted offtake by rolling flour mills.

NEW DELHI: Wheat dara prices fell by Rs 10 per quintal in the wholesale grains market here on Monday due to increased arrivals amid restricted offtake by rolling flour mills.

However, other grains prices maintained last closing levels on sporadic deals.

Marketmen said increased arrivals from producing regions coupled with fall in offtake from atta chakki and rolling flour mills, caused the downfall in wheat dara price.

Wheat dara looked down from Rs 1065-1105 to close at Rs 1055-1100 a quintal on reduced offtake.

Its related rolling flour mills and atta chakki delivery price also slipped from Rs 1118-1120 and Rs 1110-1118 to close at Rs 1110-1115 and Rs 1105-1110 a 90 kilo bag respectively.
