MUMBAI: Uttarakhand agriculture minister Harak Singh today sought help from Maharashtra in setting up infrastructure in the state to facilitate direct marketing of horticulture products from the hill state.

Singh today called upon his Maharashtra counterpart Eknath Khadse here and sought his help in this regard.

"The need is to do away with middlemen," officials present at the meeting quoted Singh as saying.

Uttarakhand will also help Maharashtra to market its horticulture products in the hill state and an MoU can be signed in this regard, officials said.
