Use new technologies for good crop production: Nitin Gadkari tells farmers

Inaugurating the 'Agro Vision 2013' at Reshimbah ground, Gadkari described it as an ambitious venture to share farming technologies.

NAGPUR: Former BJP president Nitin Gadkari has called on the farmers to adopt new technologies and innovations to boost their agriculture production.

Inaugurating the 'Agro Vision 2013' at Reshimbah ground here yesterday, Gadkari, the exhibition's chief promoter, described it as an ambitious venture to share farming technologies, experience and new research methods in high yielding products.

The expo will help farmers in the region to overcome suicidal tendencies, Gadkari said.

New technologies and innovations in the field of agriculture, horticulture, equipment, solar pumps, bio mass pumps and tractors are on display at the venue.

Agriculture Minister of Rawanda, Dr Agnes Kalabata and Rawanda's High Commissioner to India, Williams Nkurunziza were guests of honour at the inauguration along with Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister Chandrashekhar Sahu and MP Vijay Darda.
