Soybean meal exports increases during February

KOLKATA: The export of soybean meal and its other value added products during February 2017 is pegged at 2,07,977 tonnes compared to 29,951 tonnes in February 2016 showing an increase of 594.40 per cent over the same period of last year, according to a release issued by Soybean Processors Association of India (SOPA) on Monday.

On a financial year basis, the export during April’2016 to February’2017 is 8,09,271 tonnes as compared to 3,60,652 tonnes in the same period of previous year showing an increase of 124.39 per cent.

During current oil year (October – September), total exports during October 2016 to February 2017 is 7,33,539 tonnes as against 1,59,124 tonnes last year, showing an increase of 360.98 per cent.
