Sikkim government to promote organic farming
GANGTOK: Sikkim government has begun preparation for marketing to promote organic farming in the state to ensure benefit for farmers, traders and customers.

State Agriculture Minister Som Nath Poudyal said the grievances and problems of farmers and traders would be solved through a new policy, a press release said today.

Vegetable collection centres would be set up in all districts for the convenience of sellers and buyers and instructed that a committee would formed to oversee the plans, he said.
