Seventh Biofach India to be held at Kochi from November 5 to 7

KOCHI: The seventh Biofach India together with India Organic, an important organic fair in the country, will be held at Kochi from November 5 to 7.

The fair will showcase the country's organic diversity and bring together the international organic players.The organisers NurnbergMesse India and International Competence Centre of Organic Agriculture ( ICCOA) have decided to hold the event at Kochi as they were impressed by the success of the 6th fair held here..

Sonia Prashar, managing director, NurnbergMesse India said that organic products are assuming increasing significance in India. Manoj Menon, executive director, ICCOA said that the organic sector market is growing at a rate of 25 to 30 per cent each year in the country. ICCOA is trying to develop product certification and raise the living standards of the farmers.

Trade visitors will get an opportunity to experience the highly varied organic raw material market within Kerala and to network with producers.

The organisers disclosed that the World Organic Congress will be held in Delhi in 2017.
