Diversified group RJ Corp and Singapore-based TWG Tea on Wednesday announced plans to set up luxury tea parlours in the country.

RJ Corp group company Devyani International Ltd (DIL) had acquired retail and distribution rights for TWG for the Indian and UK markets over a year back.

“About 80-85% of our business will come from the UK, while the remaining will come from India. Our estimate is in the next three years, from the UK business, we could look at 100 million pounds in turnover. If things work well, we could explore tapping other countries in Europe too,” Ravi Jaipuria said.

He added that gifting, luxury hotels chains, high-end clubs and premium boutique hotels would be core consumers for the tea business. UK is among the biggest tea markets in the world. TWG Tea has begun by setting up two premium stores in Delhi.
