Rajahmundry farmers to get Rs 245 cr Kharif loans from DCCB
The District Central Co-operative Bank (DCCB) has decided to provide Rs 245 crore worth Kharif loans to farmers here, its Chairman has said.
"Our bank has kept a target of Rs 245 crore loans to be provided to the farmers during the Kharif season," S Kukuteswara Rao told reporters here. All the farmers should register their names in the respective societies to obtain loans from banks, he said.
"Pavalla Vaddi (0.25 paise), long and short term loans would be provided to the farmers through societies. Besides these, we are also providing crop insurance and accident insurance to them by adopting village as a unit," Rao said. Pesticides and fertilisers would also be sold to the farmers through co-operative societies in the district.
"We have provided Rs 195 crore worth Rabi loans during Rabi season," he added.
