Punjab government issues direction to sell old stock of DAP at previous rates

AHMEDABAD: Punjab Government has directed the Agriculture Department to ensure selling of old stock of DAP Fertilizers on the previous rates.

"Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has issued order in this matter and directed the Agriculture Department, Food and Civil Supplies Department and other sister concerns to disburse the stocked DAP fertilizer on the old rates,"Punjab Agriculture director, Dr.Mangal Singh Sandhu.

He added that it has also been directed to initiate departmental or legal action against all the companies,dealers and co-operative societies which are found selling fertilizers on higher rates to the farmers. "Earring companies will be penalized under Fertilizers Control Act 1985,"he said.
