There will be no power tariff hike in agricultural connections in Rajasthan till 2010, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje announced on Monday.

JAIPUR: There will be no power tariff hike in agricultural connections in Rajasthan till 2010, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje announced on Monday.

About eight lakh farmers would benefit from this decision taken by the chief minister at a review meeting in view of the coming Rabi season, Energy Secretary Yaduvendra Mathur said here.

Farmers would be provided uninterrupted power supply as all the state's power stations were functioning, Mathur said.

The demand and supply ratio was maintained at all level, and if required power would be bought from capitve power plants, he added.
