New agri secretary appointed

The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Prabeer Kumar Basu, IAS (BH:76) as Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture.

NEW DELHI: The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Prabeer Kumar Basu, IAS (BH:76), presently Special Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture as Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture vice T Nanda Kumar, IAS (JH:72) retiring on 28 February, 2010.
