MSAMB signs MoU with Symbiosis university

PUNE: Maharashtra government's agricultural marketing system will now get management edge from the Symbiosis International University (SIU). Maharashtra agriculture and marketing minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil signed the MoU with Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB) today.

SIIB will impart management training to the officials of Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board (MSAMB) and farmers. The mandate of the the two year MoU includes identifying needs of MSAMB and farmers and to design courses for them, to undertake surveys, develop business plans for APMCs, assist in commercial utilisation of export and post-harvest facility centres established by MSAMB, to design and develop fruits and vegetable marketing chain etc.

Dr Vidya Yeravdekar, principal director, symbiosis society said, ""We have the expertise as we have been offering MBA (Agribusiness) course.""
