MP govt sanctions Rs 33.49 cr minor irrigation projects
Madhya Pradesh government has sanctioned nine minor irrigation projects for Shajapur district with an estimated cost of Rs 33.49 crore having a combined capacity to irrigate 346 hectare.
While one project is sanctioned in Agar assembly segment two each have been sanctioned in Barod, Susner, Gulana, Kalapipal and Shajapur area, an official release said today.
The projects include Keetakheri tank project with an estimated cost of Rs 19.74 crore (Susner block) which will irrigate 1983 hectare. Jedla irrigation tank project (Shujalpur) costing Rs 2.80 crore will irrigate 222 hectare. Rs 2.66 crore for Gangapur tank project in Barod block will irrigate 206 hectares, it said.
Similarly, administrative sanction of Rs 1.44 crore has been accorded for Raghunathpura irrigation tank project in Gulana block to irrigate 170 hectare.
In Barod block 127 hectare would be irrigated on completion of Bijanagri tank project for which Rs 1.51 crore has been sanctioned.
Kahjooria tank project worth Rs 1.44 crore has been sanctioned in Shajapur block which would irrigate 130 hectare on completion.
Administrative sanction of Rs 55.10 lakh to Faraspur tank project of Susner and Rs 51.24 lakh to Jhoondi Vihar tank project of Kalapipal would irrigate 93 hectare and 100 hectare respectively.
