CHENNAI: A two-day international conference-cum-exhibition on Agri business and Food Processing would be held here on October 26 and 27.
The key focus areas of the conference would be deliberations on ongoing initiatives of the Central and State governments for giving a fillip to the sector, and technology development, M Rafeeque Ahmed, Chairman, Tamil Nadu State Council, FICCI told reporters here today.
It would also include food distribution and demand and supply chain and logistical delivery, organised retailing and opportunities for the farm sector, exploring alternative streams of income to farmers, and mitigating farmers risk.
Over 300 participants are expected to take part in the event,which will be inaugurated by Subodh Kant Sahay, Minister of State for Food Processing.
