High-yield seeds to boost production in J&K
The Jammu and Kashmir government is providing 13,000 quintals of high yielding varieties of crops seeds at subsidised rates to the farmers of Kashmir valley to facilitate increase in agriculture production.
SRINAGAR; The Jammu and Kashmir government is providing 13,000 quintals of high yielding varieties of crops seeds at subsidised rates to the farmers of Kashmir valley to facilitate increase in agriculture production.
As many as 3,517 quintals of paddy, 375 quintals of maize hybrid, 20 quintals of vegetable seeds, 1,280 quintals of fodder and 950 quintals pluses seeds been made available to the farmers, state Agriculture Minister Abdul Aziz Zargar said on Friday.
In addition, he said, almost 600 quintals of paddy seed have been distributed to the farmers through centrally sponsored scheme to boost agriculture production.
