Keeping in view the interest of farmers in the state, the Haryana government today said it will soon announce a new Agriculture Policy.

CHANDIGARH: Keeping in view the interest of farmers in the state, the Haryana government today said it will soon announce a new Agriculture Policy.

Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said the draft of new Agriculture Policy has been discussed and it would soon be finalised.

He was addressing a press conference after his meeting with Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh to review the drought like situation in the state here.

In reply to a question about the expansion of Metro Rail in Haryana, he said the Haryana Metro Corporation has been constituted which would explore the possibility of expansion of metro line in the state.

In Haryana, the Metro Rail is being extended upto Bahadurgarh.

But when asked about its expansion in other areas, Hooda said that it would link Narela, but detailed project report for metro project upto Kundli was under consideration.
