Haryana pays Rs 1,232 cr to farmers to purchase paddy
Haryana Government has paid Rs 1,232 crore to the farmers for the purchase of 16.99 lakh metric tonnes of paddy by the six government procuring agencies in the state so far.
Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan said here today that out of total arrival, 24.28 lakh metric tonnes was leviable paddy, while 7.34 lakh paddy non-leviable.
The Deputy Chief Minister said Hafed had made the payment of Rs 501 crore for the purchase of 6.91 lakh MTs of paddy, while Food and Supplies Department had procured 6.39 lakh MTs of paddy and had made the payment of Rs 391.40 crore, Agro Industries Corporation had paid Rs 155 crore for the purchase of 2.13 lakh MTs of paddy.
Mohan said similarly Confed had purchased 1.69 lakh MTs of paddy and the payment for the same has been made of Rs 138 crore to the farmers.
The Haryana Warehousing Corporation paid Rs 41.35 crore for the purchase of 57,030 MTs of paddy and Food Corporation of India had purchased 8,258 MTs of paddy and the payment of Rs 6 crore was made to the farmers.
