Haryana government reduces fee on fruits and vegetables to 1%

This decision will provide a huge relief to the farmers, vegetable and fruit sellers and the consumers in the State. It would also stop diversion of trade from the State to other nearby States and would benefit the vendors.

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Government today announced to reduce the rate of rural development fee on fruits and vegetables from two to one per cent. It would be effective from September 1,2012 by issuing an Ordinance as Haryana Vidhan Sabha is not in session.

A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of the state cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today.

This decision will provide a huge relief to the farmers, vegetable and fruit sellers and the consumers in the State. It would also stop diversion of trade from the State to other nearby States and would benefit the vendors.
