Growers cut tomato plantation

Monsoon alone is not to blame for tomato shortage - trouble started brewing earlier this year when growers suffered losses due to non-remunerative prices, leading to a decline in platation, according to preliminary findings by Maharashtra agricultural department. Maharashtra is a key supplier of tomatoes to the country during July and August.
