Government launches e-krishisamvad to offer agri solutions
NEW DELHI: Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh today launched e-krishisamvad, an internet-based interface, that will provide direct and effective solutions to the problems faced by farmers and stakeholders in agri sector.

People can directly connect to the ICAR ( Indian Council of Agricultural Research) website http://icar.org.in and get appropriate solutions from the subject matter specialists and institutes through web or SMS, the minister said in a statement.

Stakeholders can upload photographs related to diseases of the crops, animals or fishes for diagnostics and remedial measures instantly from the specialists.

Those who have Internet facility on the mobile phone can also avail this facility, he added.

ICAR Director General T Mohapatra and other senior officials of the government research body were present at the launch event.
