Eastern Condiments turnover rises 21 per cent in second quarter

Eastern Condiments turnover rises 21 per cent in second quarter
KOCHI: Eastern Condiments, the flagship company of Rs 1000 crore Eastern Group, has notched up a revenue of Rs 192 crore for the second quarter ended September 2015, a 21 % increase from the same period last year. The growth has been led by its markets outside Kerala. The turnover from market outside Kerala rose 48% to Rs 55 crore.

This marks the record tenth consecutive quarter of uninterrupted quarter on quarter revenue growth, said Firoz Meeran, managing director of Eastern Group, in a statement. The company is aiming at a target of 30 lakh retailers by 2020.

"Our unique direct distribution model and our quality products have seen great acceptance across the country,’’ he said. Eastern Condiments export turnover touched Rs 700 crore in 2014-15.
