US forecaster Climatic Prediction Center warns

Neutral El Nino conditions “will likely continue through the spring.

There was about a 50 per cent chance of the weather pattern developing during the summer or autumn.






Australian Bureau of Meteorology says:

Factors that lead to an El Nino were now increasingly visible

The tropical Pacific Ocean subsurface has warmed substantially over the past few weeks

This could result in a warming of the sea surface in the coming months leading to drastic changes in global climate
