Corteva launches hopper management solution
Corteva Agriscience said India’s rice yields were significantly lower than the global average owing to the menace of aggressive plant hoppers.

Addressing media in Hyderabad on Monday, Corteva Agriscience South Asia Leader KV Subbarao said India’s rice yields were significantly lower than the global average owing to the menace of aggressive plant hoppers.
The losses in grain yield were estimated to vary from 10% in moderately affected fields to a high of 70% in severely affected fields if proper control measures weren’t initiated at the right time, he said.
Terming Pexalon a result of extensive research and development specifically for the Asian rice market, Subbarao said the product was tailored towards meeting the needs of Indian rice growers. It will help them address the longstanding challenge of damaging pests, especially the brown plant hoppers and white-backed plant hoppers.
