Cooperative sugar mills in Haryana till date crushed 81.67 lakh quintals of sugarcane

NEW DELHI: The cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have till date produced over 6.30 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 81.67 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season.

A spokesman of Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills said that a maximum of 13.51 lakh quintals of sugarcane has been crushed by Cooperative sugar mill, Shahabad followed by Rohtak Sugar Mill which has crushed 12.03 lakh quintals of sugarcane. These two sugar mills have produced over 1.17 lakh quintals and 84,350 quintals of sugar respectively.

As much as 9.68 lakh quintals of sugarcane has been crushed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal and Cooperative Sugar Mills of Kaithal and Panipat have crushed 7.64 lakh quintals and 7.37 lakh quintals of sugarcane respectively.

He said that sugar mills of Karnal, Kaithal and Panipat have produced 80,100 quintals, 58,170 quintals and 60,215 quintals of sugar respectively. He said that Mills of Meham and Gohana have crushed 6.79 lakh quintals and 6.73 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 46,950 quintals and 50,225 quintals of sugar respectively.

Similarly, mills of Sonipat and Jind have crushed 6.08 lakh quintals and 6.03 lakh quintals of sugarcane respectively thus producing 46,000 quintals and 42,815 quintals of sugar respectively. The sugar mill, Palwal has crushed 5.81 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 44,310 quintals of sugar, he added.

The spokesman said that sugar mill, Assandh has crushed 8.33 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 66,700 quintals of sugar.
