Cooperative Sugar mills in Haryana have achieved 7.71% recovery of sugar
Maximum of 14.22 lakh quintals of sugarcane had been crushed by cooperative sugarmill Shahbad and the Panipat and Meham sugarmills stood at second position
Krishna Mohan, Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Cooperation said that cooperative sugarmills in Haryana have so far produced over 4.07 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 59.65 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season as against over 1.89 lakh quintals of sugar produced by crushing 31.56 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the last crushing season.
He said that sugarmills of Shahbad, Meham, Gohana and Rohtak had exported over 1.31 crore units of electricity to the power utilities till date during the current crushing season. In addition to it, sugarmill Assandh had also exported 2.92 lakh units of electricity.
Giving details of the sugarcane crushed by the various sugarmills, Mr Krishna Mohan said that a maximum of 14.22 lakh quintals of sugarcane had been crushed by cooperative sugarmill Shahbad and the Panipat and Meham sugarmills stood at second position by crushing 5.78 lakh quintals of sugarcane each.
As much as 5.27 lakh quintals of sugarcane had been crushed by cooperative sugarmill Karnal, 5.23 lakh quintals by cooperative sugarmill Rohtak, 5.11 lakh quintals by cooperative sugarmill Sonepat, 4.90 lakh quintals of sugarcane by cooperative sugarmill Jind, 4.69 lakh quintals by cooperative sugarmill Gohana, 4.51 lakh quintals by cooperative sugarmill Kaithal and 4.16 lakh quintals by cooperative sugarmill Palwal, he added.
