Cooperative mills of Haryana produce 26.55 lakh quintals of sugar
The cooperative sugar mills of Haryana have produced more than 26.55 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 310.73 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season.
Haryana Cooperation Minister, Satpal Sangwan said that the four cooperative sugarmills of Gohana, Shahbad, Meham and Rohtak have exported over 6.28 crore units of electricity to the power utilities in the state during the same season.
He said that a maximum of 53.16 lakh quintals of sugarcane was crushed by sugarmills, Shahbad and the Rohtak sugar mills stood at second position by crushing 36.28 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
He said that as much as 33.60 lakh quintals of sugarcane was crushed by Meham mill, 29.80 lakh quintals by Kaithal sugar mill, 33.10 lakh quintals by Gohana sugar mill, 28.87 lakh quintals by Karnal sugarmills, 25.01 lakh quintals of sugarcane was crushed by Panipat sugarmills, 25.34 lakh quintals by Sonepat sugarmills, 24.62 lakh quintals by Jind sugarmills and 20.95 lakh quintals by Palwal sugarmills.
