Chinese sugar industry delegation meets NFCSF officials in New Delhi

PUNE: A trade delegation representing Chinese sugar industry had deliberations with their counterparts at National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories (NFCSF) in New Delhi today to explore the possibilities of opening up of Chinese market for Indian sugar.

The meeting was attended by some sugar refiners, traders and financiers from China, while the Indian side was represented with office bearers of NFCSF and Ravi Gupta of Shree Renuka Sugars.

"The Chinese delegation was satisfied with the information provided about dovetailed practices regarding production, processing, storage and transport of sugar in India," a NFCSF release said.


The delegation will visit some sugar mills from Uttar Pradesh on December 10, while it will be in Maharashtra on December 12 to meet sugar millers from south Maharashtra, the sugar bowl of the state.
