A Pakistani national has been arrested in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district
Kolkata: The West Bengal STF on Wednesday arrested a suspected Pakistani national from Habra in North 24 Parganas district.

The Pakistani national, Wahab Alam alias Rana Rauf, allegedly has links with Inter-Services Intelligence, people in the know said. Rauf was allegedly living in India under the assumed name Wahab Alam using forged documents.

According to STF sources, Rauf is a resident of Faisalabad in Pakistan. He allegedly entered India via Nepal in 2012 before settling in West Bengal. Since then, he had been staying in different parts of the state, shifting bases from time to time.

The STF arrested another person, Muhammad Izaz, from Topsia area in East Kolkata. Rauf got his forged document from Izaz. The link between Izaz and Rauf is being probed, sources said.
