VTDS partners with DEUS Automation for small-calibre ammunition tech transfer to India

Indian defence company VTDS on Thursday announced that it had entered into a strategic technology partnership with Czech firm DEUS Automation to collaborate in the small-calibre ammunition sector.

The firm stated that the agreement represents one of the first major technology-transfer collaborations between the two countries in the small-calibre ammunition sector and underscores a shared commitment to strengthening long-term defence manufacturing cooperation.

The company said the collaboration would provide it with access to advanced international manufacturing technologies and expertise, which would contribute to the indigenous development of ammunition production capabilities.

“DEUS Automation a.s., part of the STV Group of the Czech Republic, will provide advanced manufacturing technology for the production of small-calibre ammunition in India,” it added.

According to VTDS, the manufacturing capabilities provided through the partnership are based on international quality benchmarks, precision engineering standards, and modern production systems, which would help establish a strong foundation for its future growth and technological development.
