The United States has given the green light for a potential $1.96 billion sale of precision-guided munitions to Saudi Arabia (Image for Representation)

The U.S. State Department said on Wednesday that ‌it ⁠had ⁠approved the potential sale of advanced precision kill weapon systems ⁠and ‌related equipment to ⁠Saudi Arabia for an estimated $1.96 billion.

The principal contractor will be BAE ‌Systems, the State Department said in ⁠a statement.
