Udhampur terror attack: Nabbed terrorist Usman Naved says 'Bas maarna hi maarna thha'

JAMMU: Just how misleading can a face be in assessing a man's motive was evident when Usman Naved spoke chillingly about slaughter being his sole objective. "Bas maarna hi maarna thha (we were here to kill and only kill)," Naved told some local journalists and villagers who recorded his interview, possibly on phone cameras. Looking a bit confused at times, Naved showed no signs of repentance, smiling a few times in the four-and-a-half minute clip.

Kya dushmani hai? Jo chhotey chhotey bachchey hain, kya karte hain unka? Kya dushmani hai hamare desh se? (What's your enmity with our country? What do you do with small children?)

(Smiles) Achha kaam karne ka maza hai (There's fun in doing good work.)

Dehaadi kya lagana hai? Bas maarna hi maarna hai (What rate are you talking about? We're here to kill and only kill). Hinduon ko maarna thha.
