JAMMU: Army troops seized two kilograms of explosives along with detonators from under a culvert along a busy road in Rajouri district, foiling militants' plan to carry out attack.

"Alert army columns of Ace of Spades Division, while carrying out road opening towards Chingus, discovered suspicious looking poly bag under a culvert near village Chhatiari yesterday," a Defence spokesman said.

"Our troops immediately cordoned off the area and recovered approximately two kgs of explosives with five detonators," the spokesman said.

The entire area was searched to sanitise the Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch highway.

"Traffic, which was suspended for some hours, was restored after recovery of the explosives", he said.
