Two-day Naval Aviation Quality Assurance Conference begins
KOCHI: A two-day Naval Aviation Quality Assurance Conference began at the Naval Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service (NAQAS) located inside the Naval base here today.

Rear Admiral Ravneet Singh, Flag Officer in charge of Naval Aviation (FONA), inaugurated the conference which was attended by the Aviation Quality Controllers of six satellite regional centres across India such as Port Blair, Arakkonam, Visakhapatnam, Mumbai, Goa and Kochi, in addition to experts from ISRO and Defence PSUs, according to a Navy release.

The conference includes a training workshop on advancements in modern fault diagnostic techniques, case studies on peculiar defects encountered by Naval aircrafts, talks by field experts.

Experts including S K Bhaumik, Chief Scientist from the National Aerospace Laboratories, S Somanath, Director, Liquid Propulsion System Centre (LPSC) of ISRO and Shivprasad from HAL Management Academy will address the two-day conference.

The NAQAS is an annual exercise carried out under the aegis of Head Quarters Naval Aviation, Goa, with the objective of assessing the efficacy of the Quality Assurance policies of Naval Aviation which in turn define the safety standards applied to the material and maintenance of naval aviation assets.
