GUWAHATI: Two Assam Rifles jawans were killed and two other injured in an ambush led by combined forces of militant in Jairampur along Assam Arunachal Pradesh border.

Police said that the attack is led by the platform of militant outfits which include anti-talk Ulfa and Khaplang faction of NSCN.

Security forces has deployed helicopter to flush out militants which are believed to be hiding in the area.

There was intelligence input that militants are looking to attack ahead of the Republic day celebrations.
