Tri services integration is high on the government's priority list and will be achieved seamlessly, defence minister Rajnath Singh has said, adding that efforts were on to achieve the target of theaterisation at the earliest.

Spelling out priorities for the development of military systems, the minister said India should be a leader in cutting-edge weapon systems, identifying hypersonic cruise missiles as a focus area.

"When we talk about integration and jointness, it is not limited to initiatives taken by the government alone. Its success has to be achieved by meeting of minds of our defence forces. It is an effort to jointly enhance our capabilities to face the challenges posed by our adversaries," the minister said.

Elaborating on the concept of integration, the minister said it shouldn't be limited to the forces but should involve all organisations and agencies.
