Three militants held in Mizoram

AIZAWL: Three suspected militants of Manipur-based Hmar People's Convention (Democrats) were arrested from Bilkhawthlir village in Kolasib district of Mizoram, police said today.

The three were arrested when they were allegedly extorting money from villagers yesterday, SP Lalzahngova said.

Police also arrested two civilians of the village when they were on their way to allegedly hand over Rs 12,000 to the HPC(D) militants, he said.
