Police in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district have arrested 10 overground workers (OGWs) for their alleged involvement in an intra-Union Territory terror financing network, officials told PTI.

The arrests followed an investigation into suspected financial networks linked to terrorist activities. Officials said the probe involved analysing suspicious online financial transactions carried out through various payment platforms to trace the movement of money across multiple layers.

The investigation uncovered a wider network of individuals allegedly involved in terror financing and linked to terrorists and their associates lodged in different jails, they said.

"During the investigation, suspicious online financial transactions carried out through various payment platforms were analysed, leading to the tracing of money trails across multiple layers," officials said.

They added that 10 associates of terrorists had been arrested in connection with the case so far.
