NEW DELHI: Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif today visited Pakistani frontline troops along the Line of Control in Haji Pir sector to review the operational preparedness of the units and formations, says Pak Army's Inter-Services Public Relations ( ISPR).

A release issued by ISPR states, "Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif visited frontline troops deployed along the Line of Control (LOC) in Haji Pir Sector today. COAS was given detailed briefing by the local formation commander on operational preparedness of the units and formation."

Speaking on the occasion , Sharif COAS showed his "complete satisfaction over high state of morale, operational preparedness and vigil being maintained by troops along the LOC", according to the release.

Sharif was received by the area's Corps Commander, Lt. Gen. Malik Zafar Iqbal.

The visit has happened after the Indian Army stated it conducted surgical strikes against terror launch pads across the LoC on September 28.
