STF may probe Chinese national’s case

A Special Task Force (STF) is likely to take over the investigation of Han Junwei from whom a laptop, two iPhones, a Bangladeshi SIM, two pen-drives, ATM cards, US dollars along with some Bangladeshi and Indian currency were seized.

Hun Junwei’s purpose of entering India through the Bangladesh border in Malda is not known yet.
The Malda police have taken Chinese national Han Junwei to the Indo-Bangladesh border in Sultanpur to conduct a scene reconstruction exercise on Tuesday. Junwei was arrested from the Malda border by the Border Security Force, South Bengal Frontier, for crossing the international border and remanded to six-day police custody on Saturday.

A Special Task Force (STF) is likely to take over the investigation of Junwei from whom a laptop, two iPhones, a Bangladeshi SIM, two pen-drives, ATM cards, US dollars along with some Bangladeshi and Indian currency were seized. Han Junwe is a resident of Hubei in China.

Malda Superintendent of Police, Alok Rajoria, said, “We are still investigating the case. Hun Junwei’s purpose of entering India through the Bangladesh border in Malda is not known yet. We are checking all his documents seized from his custody. We have done scene reconstruction despite receiving information from the BSF officials.”


It is learnt that his laptop and I-Phone passwords could not be cracked yet.
