Security forces adopt 3-tier defence deployment to check infiltration from Pakistan
Latest system includes a facility to allow BSF to monitor and analyse camera recordings later in case its personnel do not keep watch on international border even for short duration.

The security forces have adopted a three-tier deployment, including the one ahead of the fence, officials said. Additional two layers of patrolling is being done by jawans four to five times a day to keep a check on infiltration.
Besides, the BSF has also activated thermal imagers and infra-red cameras along the international border to capture any movement of infiltrators. The latest system also includes a facility to allow the BSF to monitor and analyse the camera recordings later in case its personnel do not keep watch on the international border even for a short duration, said an official.

The counter-infiltration measures are likely to be enhanced with installations of ‘ integrated border management system’ that aims to reduce infiltration through riverine stretches along the international border.
