IMPHAL: A combined team of Imphal West district police commando and 25 Assam Rifles arrested one active member of outlawed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) from Kameng Bazar in Manipur's Imphal west district on August 8.

The arrested militant was identified as Thonglensang Vaiphei (48) of Kangvai village of Manipur's Churachandpur district, a press release issued by the police said today.

Police recovered a demand letter of KCP organisation from the arrested militant, the release said adding that on investigation, the arrested militant revealed that he was involved in supplying arms to the outlawed organisation KCP group.
