PM Narendra Modi lauds ITBP on its raising day

The ITBP was raised in the aftermath of the 1962 Chinese aggression and it has a strength of about 90,000 personnel with 60 battalions on the ground.

New Delhi: Lauding the Indo-Tibetan Border Police on its raising day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday their valour and determination is such that they can successfully overcome the most daunting of challenges.

The ITBP was raised in the aftermath of the 1962 Chinese aggression and it has a strength of about 90,000 personnel with 60 battalions on the ground.

In his message on its 59th raising day, Modi said, "India salutes the indomitable spirit of the @ITBP_official Himveers on their Raising Day."


"Such is their valour & determination that they can successfully overcome the most daunting of challenges. We are equally proud of the humanitarian efforts of ITBP during times of disasters," he said.
